I'm not going to let my fear keep me out of the water. If I let it I'm not going to last here very long.
Everything down there that creeps, crawls, or swims can kill you. Whole place is full of mean critters. My parents just didn't a month down there are NZ. I had to remind them of that a few times.

NZ not so much, we only have 2 poisonous spiders, no poisonous snakes. Australia has everything.

Misspelled a word. They were in Australia and NZ for a month (3 weeks Aus, 1 week NZ).

I would be swimming after the shark to get pictures. Enjoy the diving, stay away from divers hauling around bait.

BFK!

Don't forget drop bears. Vicious things.

Just did a solo under the jetty, was very nice, not deep, max 8m, but viz was pretty good mostly around 10m, water temp ok at 22. Saw a few octopus, stingrays and a bunch of fish. Spent the whole dive hugging the bottom as figured less likely to be eaten. By the end of the dive I'd stopped thinking about sharks. Found my first local site😊
