i have a Archon D22v, It's perfect in night-dive. you can see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xsfyXB1iWw

but in day time the effective distance is about 0.5m, too short.

i think D32vr with red light more fit for day time diving.

So anyone bought this light recently with the flickering on low is fixed?

Mine flickerd on 50%....
Other that good light for the money!! Nice for video on 100% i think.

I dove with mine this past weekend and found out a couple of things.

1) It works great when there is limited silt
2) I need to get my light away from the camera to get rid of the snow effect.

I also haven't noticed a flicker, though I haven't been looking close enough.

The flicker will only show on camera.

I couldn't get the flickering problem resolve and emailed to Archon email through their website didn't get any responds. I hung out at Archon facebook site to complain the problem and a Archon dealer from Mexico put me in touch with someone from Xiware Technologies (seems like they're the real manufacturer/LED specialist behind Archon). I just email her the Youtube flickering sample video and some of the discussion in this thread, will see what kind of solution for after sales support I will get.
