Hi

Here are a few of the shots from Sharm El Sheikh with my new canon S100 in a Fisheye fix S100 housing and Fisheye fix uwl-28m52 wide angle.

Hiya

No, just using the custom white balance, as i said 1st time out so hope i get better over time:)

Great stuff Dean. Very interested to hear how you find the uwl-28m52. Have you any wide shots with a diver in it?

How's sharpness in the corners? Bit hard to tell in the photos but look like it could be a bit soft.

What settings did you use on the S100? I'm new to underwater photagraphy and have an S100 without a strobe. I was struggling on what settings to use to get the best shots.

Go to the Underwater Photography Guide site, Scott has an article on settings for compact cameras that will be a good starting point for you.
Manual. Mode Macro f6.3 1/500th, ISO 100 zoom in half way. Is one suggestion, but there are more depending on your subjectvetc.

Nice Shots,Knackas
and Dean.

Rumrunner_1492, I'm new to Underwater Photography(Photograpghy all together) as well. I shot everything on auto for two reasons 1. to give me a base as a starting point and 2. to see what the camera can do on it's own. I have read a lot of articles including The Underwater Photography guide and will start experimenting with settings and compositions and hopefully see some improvements.

Hi all

knackas, did you set your custom white balance, my shots were taken from 10, down to 25 meters, and i used no flash.

Set the ring function button to custom white balance, press menu, hit up on the ring twice to "set ring function" choose custom white balance, top row and 3rd from the end i think.

When diving, point the camera at a white slate, or back of buddys tank, hit the ring function button and white balance is set, you will need to do this every few meters up or down.
