MY 2005 DIVING STATS

Total Bottom Time: about 48 hours

Maximum Depth: 130

Coldest Water Dived: 48 F

Dive Location Farthest From My Home: Byron Bay, Australia

2005 New Certification / Education: OW/AOW/PPB/Deep/Boat/PNW Marine Life ID/DIR-F provisional

Favorite Dive: Julian Rocks, Byron Bay

Least Favorite Dive: The one where my tank slipped and I did the whole dive vertical? The one where I flooded my dry suit? The one with the uncontrolled ascent from 50'? Take your pick.

New Equipment Purchased: All of it, twice.

How I did on my 2005 Goals: Well, I learned to dive . . .

Dive Goals for 2006: Immediate: Figure out the trim for the Al80's (or failing that, come up with the money to buy Peter new tanks). Short term: Pass DIR-F. Long term: Make the four scheduled dive vacation trips. Do lots of local diving in the meantime and polish my skills. Maybe do rec triox in the fall, just for fun.

2005 New Certification / Education: OW, AOW

Favorite Dive: The reserver off Catalina next to bird rock.

Least Favorite Dive: First OW dive.. 15 feet off Laguna, 3 ft viz

New Equipment Purchased: ScubaPro KnightHawk BC.. (actually a Christmas present)

How I did on my 2005 Goals: Well.. from knowing nothing about diving, to having completed 13 dives, good I guess.

Dive Goals for 2006: (1).. Fix my arm. Have not been diving because of it. (2) Reduce the weight I need to dive. (3) Hopefully log about 40 to 50 more dives. (4) Rescue class.

How I did on my 2005 Goals: EFRI done. Over 25 certs. Didn't get a start on tech stuff, have tried out doubles, though.

Dive Goals for 2006: Get a taste of tech diving. Become an MSDT. Do approx. 200 dives.

How I did on my 2005 Goals: Didn't have any

Dive Goals for 2006: NITROX, Rescue, wreck dive off New Jersey & North Carolina, Improve air consumption (SAC rate btw .65 - .75)!

Other: Hoping to get 1 more dive day before the end of 2005.

How I did on my 2005 Goals:I didn't have any to start the year with, just decided to get certified in October.

Dive Goals for 2006:Get away on at least 2 trips, get my AOW, PPB, plus a few others I haven't thought of yet. Maybe Rescue Diver. Get the rest of my gear.

Other:I can't wait to get this going again when the weather warms up. Maybe a trip south before spring...
