Ok, Tstormdiver, I have to ask. What is "normoxic"? I'm obviously still a newb but I've never even read that one here on SB.

Normoxic typically means a mixture with a "normal" amount of oxygen in it ... i.e. 21% O2

Hyperoxic means mixes with greater than 21% oxygen, such as 25/25 (oxygen/helium). For training purposes, this is often included in the "normoxic" category.

Basically, "normoxic" training includes dives within depth limits typically considered "safe" for air (from a PPO2 standpoint).

Hypoxic trimix means a mixture with less than 21% oxygen ... i.e. 18/45 or less ... this would generally be for dives below the 180-200 foot range.

2011 Achievements:
got in 200+ dives working as a DM this year
passed Fundies with a rec pass
took a freediving class
got a ton of experience working with classes

2012 Goals:
get at least 200 dives

Is the year over yet? Yikes! I still have more dives to do before the calendar flips and I haven't even started my Christmas shopping

2011 Achievements:

I've got the Stress & Rescue certification + First Aid & O2 provider & CPR.
I had to prepare myself for the swimming needs of this course.
Besides, from year 2007 when I got certified, 2011 has been the year with more dives done.

2012 Goals:

I'll go through the Master Diver programm (S&R + 50 dives + Equipment Techniques + Altitude Diving).
Dive more often than in 2011.
