2011 Achievements

Got drysuit certified (and got a drysuit)
Learned to use my Oly E-PL1 with the strobe
Learned to use use Aperture to edit pictures taken with above camera
Took EFR and O2 provider course
Dove in Hawaii, San Salvador (Bahamas) and in my Dutch springs backyard
Got a BP/W system

For 2012:
Hit 175 dives (could 200 be far off from that?)
Dive the Great Barrier Reef
Take the Rescue class
Continue to work on my buoyancy and photography skills.
 
[Tried to find my 2011 "Goals" but couldn't find the thread, sigh.]

2011 Achievements -- a. Got to teach a great class of high school kids in April -- OW/EAN/Dry Suit -- 5 days of diving to get the cards.
b. Issued a total of 46 certs (so far) and just had a ton of fun helping introduce people to the joys of the Underwater World.
c. Organized a fantastic trip to God's Pocket.
d. Got elected as the Director (President) of one of the local dive clubs.
e. Got to lecture on "Gas Management" a couple of times (once for pay!) and received the typical response -- Why haven't I heard any of this before?
f. Got to be a part of a SB based group that got an article published in PADI's Undersea Journal.
g. Had many great dives in many great places -- from Maui to Canada to Puget Sound to The Channel Islands to West Palm Beach to Tuluum to The Red Sea
h. Also had time to ride and begin to understand "collection" at both the trot and canter on my horse (including getting flying changes with him) [OK, not diving, but still a big accomplishment]
i. Oh, and got certified as a PADI Tec 40 Instructor
j. Organized a monthly lecture series for my LDS that allows DMs and AIs a chance to earn money

2012 Goals:

a. Get my grandson in the water in Maui and blowing bubbles (discover scuba)
b. Teach at least two Tec 40 courses
c. Continue to teach OW and related courses and convince former students they really want to be Puget Sound Divers
d. Organize another successful trip to God's Pocket
e. Do a lot of fun dives
f. Work on my photography and learn how to really use Lightroom
g. Have at least two Cave Diving trips to Tuluum
h. Do a "rebreather experience" session
i. Grow the Dive Club and have people convinced it should be a regular part of their lives
j. Have a successful Horse Show Season which will include qualifying for our Regional Championships and getting my "Bronze Medal" from the United States Dressage Federation
 
2011: Chuuk Lagoon this past 25Nov to 08Dec in Z-system sidemount --the best Open Water Technical Wreck Diving harness & wing set-up system for travel on the market today.

2012: Return to HMS Repulse and HMS Prince of Wales Battleships since last visit '06; Cocos Island Costa Rica; and annual Chuuk Lagoon & Palau trips again as usual --all in Z-system sidemount, the best Open Water Technical Wreck Diving harness & wing set-up system for travel on the market today.
 
2011:
Dove for the first time
OW, AOW, Nitrox certs
Dove FL Gulf & Atlantic, reefs & wrecks, day & night
Did a week-long dive trip in the Bahamas

2012:
Starting with a cavern course the first weekend in Jan (mostly for buoyancy/trim improvement & skill building, but who knows where it might lead)
Build a network of buddies for regular diving
Spend some time in the Keys
Another out-of-the-country dive trip, destination TBD
 
Oh, I forgot to add that I'm once again to put in my goals that I am going to improve my fitness, dagummit!
 
2011 Achievements

- dove Turks & Caicos
- hit 1000 minutes underwater!
- saw my 13 year old daughter certify as Jr. OW diver
- completed AOW certification

2012 Goals

- dive with my new dive buddy
- dive with my 24 yo nephew who is now enrolled in scuba classes
- dive Maui and Kona
- obtain rescue diver certification
- complete 50 logged dives
- volunteer Aquarium Pacific as volunteer diver (need 50 logged dives and rescue diver certification :wink:)
 
2011 Achievements
- hit 500 dives
- dove the Socorro Islands
- co-led a dive group to Cozumel
- 130+ dives
- dove with great white sharks cageless


2012

- Tiger Beach in April
- Maldives in December
- ice diver course?
- complete at least 100 dives
 
2011 Achievements
- Was able to meet and dive with some SB friends I'd never met before :thumbs_up:
- Switched from jacket BCD to BP/W
- Got in about 20 dives to dial in trim with BP/W
- Made it back to Grand Cayman for a week
- Made it to the Oktoberfest Mega Dive
- Earned my AOW cert.

2012 Goals
- Go to the Spring Mega Dive (Ginnie Spings)
- Dive more quarries (White Stone, Loch Low-Minn, Madison, Pelham)
- Go to the Cozumel SB Invasion
- Work in a trip to Grand Cayman
- Go dive the BHB and maybe LDBS
- Oktoberfest Mega Dive (Ginnie Springs)
- Think about next training/skill direction
 
2011 Achievements:
--FINALLY finshed DM (May)
--did my first and only tropical week dive vacation (Jan.-Panama)
--dived in 5 more states--Del, Md., Va., NC & SC
--logged 58 dives (most for a year, including last one soon here in N.S.)

2012 Goals:
--get some divemastering at the LDS if I can move up the ladder a bit
--otherwise, same as usual--dive as much and as varied as possible
