Welcome to all the new folks, those returning after a long hiatus and all the usual suspects. There is no need to call for reservations. We have Turkey roost reserved almost to the main road. So as long as there isn't any flooding we can accommodate all of you. Also the Divers Direct group is the following weekend from us. So no issues there. If there's enough interest, we can have a pumpkin caving contest on a separate dive from the galaxy dive if everyone would like. Let me know you thoughts. Bring your costumes too if you like.
Also check back to the 1st post in this thread for a run down of the weekend and additional info.
I have added everyone to the group list below.

Megadiver's Attending and Food List
Post that your attending, any guests with you, what you would like to bring,

I'll add your name to the list at the end of the week.
Hope this helps!

For those who always ask what to bring. Here are some ideas...
Meat items for the grill
(let's keep it to Hamburgers, hotdogs, brats, and chicken breast and buns) (We're trying to keep it simple so it doesn't take forever to cook for the group) (If you have something else you were thinking about and want to cook that yourself, that's great! Some have brought friers or smokers and added to the meat items that way.)
Eggs (We never seem to have enough.)
Items for the omlettes
(additional meats, peppers, mushrooms, onions, olives, salsa, wraps, cheese, etc.)
Items for Breakfast
(Juices, fruit, muffins, coffee, creamer, etc.)
Charcoal (self starting)
Condiments (cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish, BBQ sauce etc.)
Aluminum Foil Serving Pans (to hold the cooked meat)
Paper towels and napkins
Heavy duty Paper Plates
(no Styrofoam please) and desert plates.
We have plenty of plastic silverware left over so that item is not needed.
Bottled water
Side dishes (casseroles, baked beans, potato salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw, chips and dips/salsa, fruit salad, green salads w/dressing, veggie tray w/dip, etc.)
Deserts (Oh please don’t forget the deserts!)
Tiki torches and fuel (for around the fire)
Fire wood for the camp fire.

We also need volunteers to help out during for the weekend. THANKS!!!!

[h=2]One-day workshop... carrying spare gas[/h]
I will be in the High Springs area of Florida and will have some free time on October 25 or 26. With all the talk here and on other scuba forums about bailout cylinders, stage bottles, buddy-bottles and the like, I've decided to offer a one-day workshop to divers to discuss the options available to provide "a redundant gas source." Will show various bits of kit, discuss the pros and cons of each, and show participants the "optimal" way to rig their chosen solution.

Workshop is open to ALL levels of diver from AOW to CCR.

This is NOT an agency accredited course (not had time to get any of them to sign off on it as a distinct specialty) so there will be no c-card at the end of it. Also, the cost is pay as you can.

Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks.

You're welcome to join us for any of the camaraderie, meals and campfires. And do let us know the date and times so I can add it to the FB event page also.

Did a dive at Ginnie on Monday (10/13).
The water level in the Santa Fe is a little high , but not bad.
Everything looks good , good , good... !

Jeano
