You would be right, Ken. I'd have to say we acted like "group divers" (individuals who happened to be part of a group but aren't particularly connected to a specific buddy) until the moment of his running low on air when we became "buddies". Based on the little experience we both had, though we(I) had good intentions, we didn't act like good buddies.
