Advanti Quattro vs. Quattro Excel

I just got Avanti Quattro fins and recently saw the newer Quattro Excel. I am a begginer in diving but i do sports so i guess my legs are pretty athletic.

How big is the difference between these two fins. I can still have my Quattros exchanged for the Excel but given the price difference... is it really worth it?

The price difference is minimum in my market.

Haven't tried them myself but I have been told by my buddy that the Avanti Quattro better in terms of performance. The Excel may have the upper hand on newer design.

Would love to know what others have to say.....................

my favs are the quatros because they cost nearly half and preform fine(not enough of a difference in my oppion). quatros are well rounded enough.. btw what did u pay for them? when i bought mine they were around 105... now they are something like 70 :05: oh well... i say stick with watcha got! :14:

There is not a huge amount of difference between the quattros and the excels. There is a fair difference between them and the special edition excels, but thats an even bigger price jump.

Stick with the Quattros, I have both and will be putting the Excels on Ebay. They are not worth the extra $$$. I can't tell any difference in the two fins.
