Hehe... Great WA shots, Sifu Pak! I can't wait to see the macros...

And another eight legged beauty. They said it was a mimic but I couldn't figure out who or what it was mimicking...

sweet pak, what dive sites did you check out during your Anilao stay? the squid is awesome.

Oops, sorry Mike. Didn't read much past the title. Too Edvinlike.

Don't mind my jest, Larry, I take any chance I get to poke at Pak  :mooner:

Beatrice, Basura, a "secret" place , Kirby's Rock (BTW, there's a free woody's diopter sitting around near a black frogfish - dooh!:(), Fallen Palm, some place a bit further down from Kirby's Rock (forgot the name), to name a few.

Here's a cuttlefish placing her eggs.

Gorgeous :) A couple of friends and I have this as a destination - maybe for late 09 or 2010...be fun to meet some of you and get the inside scoop!

Alcina, definitely do go, you'll love it. It's a bit pricey, but I strongly recommend Solana Bezo Resort. The owner Joel has done a great job of the place and has spent a lot of time with his son training the local DM's to be spotters and to their credit have been discovering more and more new "muck" sites with mimics, hairy frogfish, ambons, etc... The staff at the resort are excellent and will pamper you silly.

thanks guys, here's some more...

I was just floored by how many ornate ghost pipefish my dive guide, Glenn, was able to find at Basura on a single dive. I think we came across at least 4 different color ones, some of them in pairs with the male carrying the eggs.
