if you purchased the bcd from me then yearly check ups and any service are free for life. integrated octo's are $40 plus parts so $55 is about what shops are getting in my area. Yearly service sounds too much, well I would rather have someone bring it in and inspected and any minor problems taken care of before a customer goes on a dive and finds they have a sticky inflator or leaking bladder. But then again I like to be proactive in service, not reactive. Of course I own 30 bc's that are rentals so I my attitude is a bit more conservative than most users. You need to decide for yourself what level of care brings you peace of mind.
