I am off to Sri Lanka, Negombo, ( only because i cant afford the Maldives again this year lol), has anybody been there and if so any tips or what i could expect in November.

I was there in '80.
We tried a few "sites" off Trincomalee - it was interesting but not spectacular as in those days nobody we could find really knew where to take us.
I hope you like the smell of coconut husk and dung fires early in the morning.
