Question Anyone diving with in 1hr of Melbourne on 7/1?

My wife just ask if I was down to take a last minute road trip from Houston to Melbourne FL to see friends…my response: “Can I bring my dive gear”?

I have been give freedom on Friday 7/1, anyone diving that I could join? I want to keep it with in a reasonable drive time from Melbourne.
I was planning to bring my single rig, a 3mm and a couple of tanks.

I don't know of anyone within 1 hr, doing regularly scheduled weekday dive trips. The closest would be 2hrs and Jupiter Florida. Also the main reefs off of Melbourne are ~16 miles offshore so just boat travel time in 3 foot waves will be 90 minutes one way out there.

You can search for tons of reviews in this Florida section on Jupiter dive boats - All of them are great operators. They leave at different times 8/9/10am and do different types of dives, with almost all of them having website calendars describing the type of dive that day and availability/procedures. 6 day advanced forecast that's usually 50% accurate this far out, looks pretty good and viz has been top to bottom with tons of fish. You won't be disappointed.
