Missdirected:
I am so sorry but that is too funny. Let him know for future reference, if he takes the USCG boating class, which he may or may not need but it sounds like he does, they teach some simple knots in the class. Sounds like it may be worth his while.

oh yes, knotting them properly would do the trick. :D

although, i think it would be much safer putting it out the water... on the boat, perhaps?

well, next time, i guess.

If you were truly a dork, you'd know it's not called "knotting", it's called marlinspike. :)

lol. if you check my profile closely you would know you got it confused.

that term is a slang for nerd ... now, a financial dork wouldn't know and wouldn't care what that is... marlinspike do not exist in our vocabulary.

but you wouldn't know that, of course.

almitywife:

Yeah.. they are supposed to be "famous last words."

Like the sort of thing the Captain of the Titanic may have said.. or a certain Pres before invading an un-named dictatorship...

Z...

And yes the weights were still in the pockets! I told him he should have put his gear aboard. :shakehead

Political Correctness: A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end!

Lord, help . . . . !!!

That gear's going to wash up on some shore and the rescue squad is going to be searching for days to find the diver !!!!
