Area Gulf Water Conditions

3/1/2008 report from the St. Pete area.

Water was about 64-66 degrees, with the air temps in the 70s. The viz varied from as little as 5 feet up to 25 feet.

Feb. 13 report: west of Ft. De Soto - 65 degrees in 47 fsw, vis was around 5 feet.

27 March - out of Tarpon Springs 67 degrees in 49 fsw, visibility was about 20-25 feet.
28 March - out of Indian Rocks 68 degrees in 37 fsw, visibility was about 25-35 feet.

3-29 in 60-70' west of John's Pass we had 25' vis and 68 degrees

3-30 in 80' west of John's Pass we had 30' vis and 68 degrees

1 April in 44 fsw west of John's Pass, we had 25-30 feet visibility and 70 degrees

April 2 Alhambra 22fsw vis 10' water temp was 72degrees

3rd April 50 fsw west of Clearwater - vis was Top to Bottom! temp 72 degrees

Any ideas what I can expect in regards temp and viz in the Sarasota or Bradenton area in August please

aug 5 last year out of Bradenton the water temp was 85 degrees in 42 fsw and the vis was 40'.Hope this helps
