Pretty easy to shoot. Swim up and look at you.

The poisoning is somewhat reef specific. So can be ok on some reefs and not so much so on others.

Yes very easy to shoot. It's stringing the Cuda where it gets - interesting....
Shot placement is your friend with toothy critters.
 
As for ciguatera, "if it's longer than your arm,it may do you harm", best to feed some to the dogs/cats first, if they get sick or die, don't eat it.

As for spearing them, try to break the spine with your first shot, you don't want a mouthful of pissed off 'cuda gunning for you.
