webhead:Curious, I've heard they dropped the Brisbane battleship in the last couple years. Is that a good/popular dive site?
very. HMAS brisbane was scuttled last year off the sunshine coast (about 1500km ~ 1000 miles - south of cairns )
this is one of the latest in a long line of artifical reefs made from decommissioned navy nessels, and people are getting pretty good at making them. i haven't dived the brisbane myself yet, but did HMAS Swan off dunsborough in west australia & it was magic.
all the reports i've heard about the Brisbane have been good. looking forward to getting HMAS canberra scuttled off the coast about 40km from my house sometime soon
