Benwood Wreck is a cool night dive. It runs from about 30' at shallowest point to about 45' at the bow. Lots of eels & fish make their home in the wreck. If you want to go deeper, keep heading off the bow and it will drop off fairly rapidly to around 90', but not much to see out there.

As far as "shore" diving in Keys, there really isn't any. Reef is 6 miles off shore. Only "shore" dive I know of is the beach at Pennekamp Park. It drops off rapidly to about 24'. There is a "ledge" from about 10' to 24' where it was dug out. Along the ledge you can find some fish. Also there are usually some juvenile barracudas & schooling tarpon to see. Viz is murky year around and can go south fast if you stir up the bottom. This is your back-up dive in case wind is blowing so hard no dive boats are going out...which happens quite a bit in the winter months.
