One might think that after 50 dives, it would be easy to start wrapping up the trip not so.
The conditions at the southern sites were near-ideal. Water temp was 81 degrees, and currents were non-existent on most days.
If two weeks could be compressed into a single time and place, it would be Sweet Dreams on 11 October. We spent 4 hours underwater, having one of our best Bonaire diving experiences to date. With jaw-dropping visibility, the illuminated reef was indeed the stuff of sweet dreams.
Regarding last autumns coral bleaching event we were here last Oct/Nov and were shocked at the speed and extent that the reef was turning white as the temp hovered at 86 degrees. We were so relieved to see that most of the reef has recovered.
