I would be very surprised: everything I ever had warranty-replaced with a refurb carried the original item's warranty only.

I had a PPS Transmitter replaced by Oceanic under the transmitter service. The replacement was a refurbished transmitter and came with a 1 year warranty.

Quite common for"refurb" unit because it s not brand new and other problems may appear soon. Just like human being! It is all depending on the manufacturer.

You should have an extended 3 moth warranty period when you receive back a device back from service but please confirm with the local center.
