...Found a cute little courtyard inn a few blocks down from where Neptunos is now, but I seem to remember it being Scaramuche then....maybe not. Lots of trips to the old, original hole in the wall Carlos & Charlies will do that.
Scaramouche was a few blocks north of Neptuno. Neptuno is gone now as well.

We frequented both that week & for some reason I thought that Neptunos moved there when Scaramouche closed down. Is Dubai in that building now? When we went to Alberto's last year, one of the original DJ's from Scaramouche was handling the music there.

Been to the casino yet?

I'm pretty sure that Neptuno was always in that building across the street from Acuario (gone now as well, replaced by Margaritaville). I believe that the building that housed Scaramouche sat empty for a while and then was briefly occupied by Planet Hollywood (now gone, too - good riddance) before being torn down and replaced by Viva Mexico.

I don't know what Dubai is (other than a country on the Persian Gulf).

What casino? No, I have no desire to go to a casino on Cozumel.

Casino 21. Owned by ex-pat Jim of Wahoo Tours with a MX partner. It's located in a residential neighborhood in a 2-story Grecian-style building on Calle 7 between Ave 20 & 25.

Open 11AM-3AM, 7 days/wk. Video slots, electronic BJ tables, Texas Hold'Em, & Roulette tables. Free drinks if you're playing.

Opened early this year. Parties hard. Lots of locals.

DocVikingo - You introduced me to Cozumel a number of years ago when you posted about a good deal at the newly remaned Caribe Blu hotel (now Blue Angel), I have been going back at least twice a year to the island. Gracia, amigo.

My first dive on Coz would have been on the old "Airplane Flats" dive out in front of La Ceiba...back when there was actully quite a bit of the plane still there. Lots of Scorpion fish, Squirrel fish and juvies of all kinds hanging about the wreck

I'd have to check my dive log, but I'm pretty sure my first boat dive on Coz was to Santa Rosa Wall...I was gone from then on!

I remember, Palancar Caves. My first thought after I backrolled in and looked down was "why did I wait so long to start diving"!
