change battery error

Hi guys,

I need some help. I've been using my Atom 2.0 since 2009. I've changed the batteries on my own all the time. Today, i encountered a problem. After carefully replacing my Atom 2.0 battery with a fresh piece, the display reads Change Batt. Thinking that i've got a faulty battery, i carried out another replacement with a brand new battery. But still i got the same Change Batt warning. I can't use my computer now.

Whats going on? What can i do?

Try shorting out the terminals. Use the key that unlocks the battery compartment, touch the two termials with the key and hold for 30sec or longer. This method works with the veo series. You may lose all your loged dives if you havent downloaded them already.
 
When you mention touch the two terminals, you're referring to the + and - metal ends of the computer?
