Must be that new math. I get $400 when you take 20% off of $500, but then I'm old school like that. :D

Cheap watch with depth gauge, my vote goes to the Swatch Scuba. Have 2 of them. Haven't gone beyond 40m with either them, but so far, knock on wood, they work fine. Alternatively, get yourself a Sunnto D3, may not be that expensive.

We have a bunch of the Timex Helix DM watches. I have the on our consoles as backups and on wrist bands for skin diving.

Time of day
Auto stop/start dive duration
Current depth
Current temperature

After the dive it hows final duration and max depth.

I run in dive track as a back-up.

It will also do spits and other fun stuff.

The manual is an eclectic read.

They were discontinued about 3 years ago but can still be found on Ebay. A year ago Wal-Mart had a slew of them for $20. The packages were dusty and the batteries were on their last legs. If you buy one now you might as well start with changing the battery for about $3.00

yeah that seems to be the cheapest answer so far.
40m is plenty for rec depth.

where'd you get them?

There's a few more if ya dig for them. There are other color combos from previous years that you can still find around too.

I have a Citizen Eco-drive with a depth guage. I must admit, I mostly bought it for the color "Orange" (I like bright colors *shrugs*). It lists for $500 and I bought it brand new in Cozumel at a store for $285. They can be found on the internet for around $241 or so at the lowest. Leisure Pro sells them too Watch

There are not a whole of dive watches available. If you can find a used one or buy one of the Swatches. You will be hip with the young crowd.

cra2:
yeah,...
that doesn't exactly qualify as the "cheapest watch with depth guage."
Depends on how you look at it. I've had one for 10 years. One battery change, and it's still going. Per year that's rather inexpensive.

I agree with floater... Get the entry level computer that has a guage model..

I also two Timex DM, but it doesn't last long..... If you can't get it lower than $25, it isn't worth......
