has anyone been to Cocoview lately? Should I plan a trip there?I've been hearing bad reports since it's been up for sale.

I have been there resently and had no problem what so ever. The staff are great and the diving is wonderfull. I am going back in May 15-22, 2004 and I have some spots still open on my trip and if you want to go with our group from Houston, Tx. you are more than welcome to come join us. I have been diving 37 years and Captain a dive charter boat out of Freeport, Tx. out to the Flower Gardens and Stetson bank.If ever in the Houston Tx. area you need to look up Gulf-Diving out of Freeport, Tx. and going diving the Flower Gardens.

we were there this past november 2003, it was great! We were also there the previous year november 2002, that was right as the stomach sickness started. It affected many places of the island. The owners of Coco View had specialist from the US come down and test everything, ( many of the resorts were involved and they went in on a joint effort to fix the problem led by the owners of Coco View). The problem turned out to be a dairy distributer which no longer is providing for the area. We had a great time both times we were there! Haven't herd anything about it being sold. I would still plan your vacation it is a great place to dive, and the totally take care of the divers!

I'm glad to see things are looking up for them. CCV has been an excellent resort for many years. Anytime there is a change in management, there is going to be at the least a few problems. The difference is they are addressing the problems.
Hey, George here, Did you read my thread at CoCoveiw's board. I'm going on the 3rd. Good Viz, George :bounce:

What problems have you encountered with TACA? Did you have these problems on just one trip?

Would love to try Roatan.

TACA lost my luggage. If not for the persistance of the Evans, I would still be looking for it. That was my only beef. Good Viz, G  eorge. P.S. I will be there again on April 3rd.
