15/45 @ 82 meters has a gas density of almost 6.8 g/L. That's quite high for a dive like this. How did you and your instructor come up with the mix you were using? 15/40 and 15/45 are such weird combinations.

I agree density was too high for 82m. The dive was planned to around 70m but we dropped quite a way from the reef and so scootered through blue water. Very little time was spent at >80m.

As for the mixes, the shop (although it does host GUE instructors) does not prescribe to standard mixes and you are able to pretty much get whatever you ask for. We planned for a 70 - 75m dive and for me 15/45 was acceptable. Absolute highest PO2 was <1.4. I didn't experience any problems with gas density or narcosis.

That said, no doubt 12/65 would have been better.
