Get yourself a roll of 2" clear packaging tape. Put 2 layers on screen and your good to go. You'll have enough screen saver material for your diving career

Ditto the packing tape. The 3M stuff is invisible as long as you take care to not make bubble pockets. Much more readable than the stock plastic cover too.

Some great scratch remover is made by NOVUS, you'll need the #3 (heavy scratch remover) followed by the #2 (fine).

Coms in 8 oz bottles, enough for you to go into the scratch removal business.

Gives you enough to cut and trim a life-time supply of face protectors. Eventually a small bubble or two might appear, but just peel it off and stick another on.
