Sandbar is possible...it is hard to see clearly but the tail also looks like it could be a Bull Shark...and we have plenty of those around.

Sandbars and bulls are cousins. Both have the same tail (tigers are pretty close too) Look at the huge dorsal fin. It looks wide and more importantly, tall, while bulls are shorter. I wouldn't be surprised to to find it was a bull, but I'm putting my bet on a sandbar.

Yeah I was going for a bull or a sandbar. Either way good catch!

I've watched the video over and over, and played with the contrast, brighness, viewed it in black and white, saturated the view, anything to get more detail. What I've noticed time and again is the Dorsal fin is much higher than the tail. With that being said, I'm going with Sandbar shark. Now it still could be a bull but without better proof or input I'm calling it a Sandbar!

Not much to add to XRay's report. It was nice to finally meet Yoda and Pufferfish, and of course it's always good to dive with my chum XRay. McGuire's debriefing was fast, hot, and delicious.

Great Pictures! I knew that hermit crab was going to be a great shot. I probably should have went with my gut and pulled you out of the way! :)

Great report, I'm jealous of the shark encounter :) They're always fun! The pics are great too.

Here are a couple more including an odd sighting of a remorah on a sitting then swimming stingray.

Looks like I'm late to the party but here are my pictures. BTW 4 out of 4 SBers in the water had cameras. I hope the local fish population is recovering from flash shock! The weatherman must not have checked the tide chart - the rain held off for most of both dives. Water temp at 66 degrees is up from the last dive - WOOHOO!

It was good to see Puffer and XRAY again. It was good to meet Hetland too.

I guess you did get that video you were hoping for XRAY - congratulations!
