This is sad news...personalities like him are well known and respected and the news of their loss during diving is extremely sad...From what I read he was trying to detect oil leakage in a wreck in Korea. He was just 45 years old...

Any knews if they found him or something more ?

Does anyone have any further info on the death of John Bennett? I understand he was lost on a salvage dive in Korea.

Last I heard they had not recovered his body. Any news?

i am sorry to say that i have not heard they have recovered the body yet; a quick
search turned up nothing new

I don't know John Bennet personally but I do know that he spent some time here in the Philippines. He set his record free dive here at Puerto Galera, Batangas in Luzon.

He also caught my attention in magazine ads as I was looking around for dive equipment as he used OMS.

I join you all in prayer for this very sad loss. My condolences to his family and close friends.

A group of Korean divers searched for John Bennet's body and were unsuccessful.

Perhaps they'll never find his body...
