Does DAN equipment coverage include dive computers?

Hi all,

I have the MASTER PLAN, which includes Loss of Diving Equipment, and all of this only starts when I hit the water and only if I am in an accident. But when reading the coverage, I found this:

DIVING EQUIPMENT: Diving Equipment does not include a diver’s watches, glasses, or covers, torn straps or buckles, or photographic equipmen of any kind.

Does "diver's watches" imply a dive computer? My Shearwater Perdix cost me a pretty penny, and if that ain't covered...

Have you thought of attaching a lanyard to the strap, if a pin fails you don’t lose the DC.

I might be wrong but isn't equipment insurance kicks in if you actually have an accident and equipment loss is due to the accident.
