Hope ya'll have a great time.... been fighting a cold for a week and was hoping to be better but sadly not enough for me to chance it. And I have been looking forward to this for a long time.

Sorry to hear Dave! I had a nasty cold a few weeks ago, took me about a month to really get over it. If I was still suffering from that, I'd have to bail too. Hope you feel better!

That does suck Dave. We will miss you.

Conditions yesterday were not good. Strong wind and surge continue after a week of the same. However, yesterday vis did seem to open up in the shallows where we were working and this morning the winds appear to have died down. Could Almighty NetDoc have accomplished this by arriving on the Left Coast? Hmmm.

Well folks, the diving was pretty damn good in the morning but the increasing winds scuttled my plans for a third dive.

Sure wish I could've have been there . . . but the next best thing --

Where's a good place to go for dinner Friday night, in the vicinity of the Long Beach Convention Center? :D

Had an AWESOME time! I just got home - two hours in LA rush-hour traffic. And after getting up at 4:00 this morning to catch the ferry, I'm beyond exhausted. But I got to DIVE! I could not have done it without all the generous help of my Scubaboard friends - they carried my gear, helped me gear up at the bottom of the steps, helped me doff my gear at the steps, and basically took care of all the heavy lifting. The generosity of this group in helping this temporarily disabled diver was just amazing. DIVERS...ARE...COOL...PEOPLE!

I have some photos - will upload later, after I rest for a while.
