Wow - all I can say is Holy Crap. Haven't looked at this for a while. Took me 20 minutes of looking through posts to figure out which Cat Express boat everyone was taking...

For those that come after me:

6:15 out of Long Beach and 3:45 back.
CDS opens at 8:00 at the Dive Park
Catalina Baggage service will haul your gear to and from the Dive Park for a very reasonable fee. Think it's $8 or so. Or cab it for about $12.

Looking forward to seeing last years dive buddies again.

Rich
It will be great to dive with you again Rich!

Sounds like a blast! Wish I could be there, I just dove Casino Point 3 weeks ago and can't wait to go back. We do an annual family fishing event at the mole in April.

For those looking for a reasonable place to stay, check out the Hermosa (Diver friendly) and we stayed at this place last time - Catalina Island, Avalon Vacation Rental - VRBO 183424 - 1 BR Los Angeles County & Catalina Island Newly Remodeled Triplex in CA, Beautiful Rental in the Heart of Avalon Very reasonable and the lady that owns the place is accomadating and she picks you up at the mole. Great service!

I don't have any relation or business with them but I think good prices anf good service should be rewarded.

Ok. Who s in for kueka. Lake state park? ?
Penyann NY. waters clearing up and about 45°

OK, So far of 24 people have signed up on the FaceBook event page. I'd like a count of ScubaBoard members that are planing to go.

fwiw, I fully intended to join in on this with a copule of others, but now I'm waiting to see what happens with the Express. If the weight policies are going to be strictly enforced, it's just not feasible for me.

Count me in. I will be going on the 6:15 with LeeAnne.
Better do a "weight check" before and bring an empty duffle to transfer extra gear into if we have to.

Better be prepared for torrential rains, hurricanes and/or snow the way the weather has been this month! Twice in the last few days I've been awakened by rain on my windows. It NEVER rains in southern California. And, of course, it is bat ray "season" now. I had 3-5 ft visibility in some places yesterday trying to search for submerged data loggers. However the dive park was closer to 25 ft and I've asked Carl Mayhugh at CDS to turn on the sediment and plankton filters a few days before everyone arrives! Going to be fun, fun, fun in the warm California sun (fingers crossed).

count me in Dave...on the 6:15 am too!
