Hello, I just found my way to this site after asking enough questions about gear recommendations and was told to check out the info posted here. I've wanted to SCUBA dive my entire life, but never to got it until a couple of years ago when I did some Discover SCUBA dives with my teenage daughter in the Bahamas. I fell in love with it instantly and I vowed to get certified when I got back home, but quickly got caught back up in all routine the demands of life. Well, this spring break I finally followed through with it and got certified while on vacation in the FL Keys. Now I'm hooked and plan on charging ahead full throttle.
I'm in the Houston, TX area and used to spend a fair amount of time off-shore fishing. I hope to now spend that time diving (and maybe get into spearfishing sometime down the road.) I'll be lurking around the forums now, hoping to leverage all the great information here.
