I wonder if a magazine, or anyone else, has tried a performance comparison of fins having approximately the same blade dimensions but that have different innovations built into them. I'm thinking split fins vs opb fins vs channel fins vs flat traditional fins. For example, I have the split, opb, and channel and think they are all good but I cannot tell for sure if one kind is faster than another. The split and opb seem to require less effort but that is what one would expect from fins with a big split in them, or have holes on the sides to make the blade floppier. And it feels to me like the split fins are more stable in the direction I am kicking them. But is that my imagination?
