Flash Sync speed for the OLY xz-1 Camera

Does anyone know the flash/strobe sync speed for the OLY xz-1 camera? Is it really 1/2000s?

"Importantly, it's possible to sync these flashes right up to the fastest shutter speed of 1/2000 of a second, although their range will be somewhat limited above 1/500 s.
