You see this type of thing and you gotta wonder. I like Rodale's. Gotten beaucoup stuff based on their ratings. Never been disappointed. But this is hard to fathom. One (the only?) explanation is they're just reporting what the respondees have said. That is, after all, the nature of a "poll." I've also had a strong suspicion that many of these polls are responded to, to a very great extent, by enthralled newbies. And newbies don't have the resources (varied, extensive experience) to objectively rate/judge some things. ("I just got certed in [the only place I've ever dove/fill in the blank] and it was fantastic!") No big epiphany here, but, I'm just sayin'....​

You must have heard about their Force Fin fiasco. If not, think about it the next time you feel really good about those ratings.
