Blindly replacing a hose every 2 years seems ill advised. Especially since your "new" hose could have been sitting in a warehouse for 3 or 4 years (hence older than your old hose, NOS?)
Inspect your hoses regularly and replace them as need. Mine are 25 years old. Well taken care off. Still in good shape.
