Want to continue diving most of the WARMER days this winter here in N. Texas,,,,,,,, considering a full 5/4mil BARE suit and 5mil gloves/full boots and full hood. ???Will this allow me enough comfort for lower 70's-upper 60's water??? 5'-9"/152lbs., sorta cold natured. Thanks

I have a Bare 4/5 velocity and it's great. To be fair we are using it for snorkeling in the Ocean here in Maine. With a beanie for head protection I was comfortable being in for over an hour in water that was in the upper 50's.

I've since added the Bare hooded vest. 5mm hood and another 3mm layer on the torso. With that we were comfortable in the low 50's when we went downeast and we're shooting to stay in the ocean until late October. The vest is great since it eliminates the traditional water from the back zipper. The full neck and head protection is also nice. In water in the upper 50's I actually get warm enough that I introduce some ocean water through the neck to cool down. The flip seals in the arms and legs are a nice feature. We are also using gloves and booties.

My wife is using a comparable set-up from LiquidFit and she's just as comfy.

I've been happy with the quality. For diving you'll be loosing some protection from suit compression so adjust your expectations.

Pete,,,,thanks for your insights. LOL I know all you DownEasterners are members of the polar bear club!! I have a BARE 3/2 and really like it to. I just love your state....great place for outdoor activities of all kinds. Take care and happy diving.
