Does anyone know anything about this computer. I saw on ebay for one missing the transmitter and dead battery asking for $100. No manual and such.

What do i need to know about this unit? is the transmitter easily found for these unit? does anyone know where i can the manual? is this true that dacor transmitter will work?

does the battery easily replaceable? where do i get a new battery from (radio shack?).

if anyone can help would be appreciated

thanks

Junus

Battery is easily replaceable. It’s Tadiran 1/2 AA lithium cell. I was able to find those on internet for a few dollars each.

However, I would not buy for this computer, reasons being:

a) Air only computer, no Nitrox
b) Transmitter is missing
c) Might be dead or malfunctioning altogether, there is no way of knowing before you replace the dead battery.

Hey Lemonade,

I'm only looking for air only for my wife since she has no desire to get nitrox use.

They own a pawn shop and said it was working when they bought it, but being on the shelf for awhile is now dead. However they offered me 7 days guarantee to make sure it works.

My question is how easy to find transmitter for this at reasonable cost considering the auction is at only $102. My thought was if i cannot find a transmitter for it, i can still use all of the other feature no differently than sport version.

Do you know if dacor transmitter would work? do you by any chance have a manual for this? if you do and are not using it, i would be more than happy to buy it from you or if you know where i can find online to download the manual.

Thanks

Junus

This computer is made by Pelagic Pressure Systems, who also makes (used to make) computers for Dacor, Oceanic, Aeris...

So, I would imagine, yes, if you manage to find a transmitter from a cousin model sold under Dacor, Oceanic, Aeris... name, it might work.

I've never owned this model or any of its cousins, and I do not have a manual.

I believe, the computer has a setting, where you put transmitter's serial number in. If you put in 0000000, it tells not to look for the signal and turns the Air Integrated features off.

Great thanks! :)

I figure for the price, worst come to worst my wife can just use it as a sport computer.

thanks
