someone needed to let Dive Training know. I saw it listed in their mag.

yeah I saw that also....
dive magazines are not exactly "dated material" like Sports Ilustrated is. I imagine that they type-set that 30 to 60 days before the magazine went to print and hit the shelves.
this was a case of the folks running the show not alerting the "dive media" in time to make changes before press time.
I imagine that they'll be at least a group of folks who drove several hours to arrive at the event location only to find out it's canceled.

Especially since the web address still has all the info up from last year. If you do not pay attention, you would not notice that it is for 2008, not 2009
