Getting to Sorong from the NYC area

The issue with SIN is getting from there to Sorong seems to always cost a bit. SIN -> DPS is ~$500 USD return. /QUOTE]

I recently booked Singapore - Jakarta - Makassar - Sorong on Garuda (for next March) for 484 SGD per person, return. I just booked through the Garuda website - all very straightforward...

If you want to go via Bali, check out AirAsia, Tiger, or JetStar, all of which start at less than 200 SGD return for Singapore - Denpasar.

When shasta man stopped in Makassar from Jakarta on his way to Sorong we met him there at the airport on his layover. So... that flight did use to stop in Makassar for sure as I clearly remember meeting him and talking to him before we boarded the flight!!! ( about 4 years or so ago???)
