Remember. No matter how many dives you have under your belt or how many little plastic cards you've collected; you are only as good as your last dive!
 
Well, my last dive was particularly fab, so that must be true. :D
 
As taught since owd classes most important is to keep calm no matter the situation. This is what makes a diver perfect. Everything else comes after it with practice cause while being calm you can analyse the mistakes and learn from them.
 
I think all the of answeres given to the original post were good, but, most seem to be lacking I feel important.

Buddy awareness. A good or excellent diver always is aware of their buddy and communicates frequently about things such as gas remaining, checking to ensure they are ok, etc.

As for the beer, I prefer whiskey myself. :wink:
