Breezes is a great resturant and bar, highly recommend. As to Margarittaville, over priced and really bad service, a minus 3 start outfit.

You just need to look around, there are some pretty neat but small bars around. But the night life is not big.

As to rental cars, they know if you are not a native, the license plates are different for rentals. Also beware of very large dump trucks during the night hours.

It ain't a bar, but we did the Atlantis sub at night a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it! We went down to 100' and saw quite a bit of stuff. I posted a few pictures of it in our GCM gallery here:

I didn't see anyone mention Calico Jacks which is right on 7-mile beach and THE spot for sunset. You'll get Jack Daniels there too if you don't watch it. I also like Billy Bones and Hammerheadz has free WiFi.
