Grand Cayman or Aruba? Taking in consideration of the diving, nightlife, restaurants, and scenery, what would be considered a better trip, and why? Thanks for your input.

As a diver I'd do Cayman, no contest. Diving far better in Grand Cayman, especially if you can do east or north.

More nightlife in Aruba, you've got the casinos there and probably more people looking for nightlife and hence "club" type activity. Otherwise it's pretty much restaurants and bars, but there's lots of them in both places. If your idea of night life is night diving, you can probably get in more of that on Cayman. Both have lots of good restaurants, but for me Cayman wins. As far as land scenery, Aruba is somewhat more interesting, Gr Cayman is a flat sand spit.

I agree with the last post. G.C. is by far the best choice for diving!!!! For the other thoughts you inquired about... you might probably find more nightlife in Aruba.. Grande Cayman does have awesome retaurants but plan on paying $$$ for it. I loved the restaurant www.grandoldhouse.com . I know that there are plenty of othera I could mention but if you want just check out others posts in this section.. you will find a lot on both places and from there you can probably make a decision that way. Good Luck ( Go G.C.!!!!) (-:

Once again, I fully agree with you. The only thing I wish GC had was the casinos....I seem to be able to pay for dive trips playing black jack (last two trips that had gambling available)

Aruba does have more land attractions (natural bridge and pool, bat caves, etc)
Both have great restaurants.
Beyond that, Grand Cayman's diving is far better than Arubas.
Neither is cheap.

You will not have a bad time in either place.

Enjoy,

Jeff
