I have never dived at Honshu(Main) Island. But Izu is a conveniet place to dive. And they say it is beautiful.

Hi
Will you be diving in the Izu area?

Convenient is a relative term....

It certainly is closest for us. If you take the trains there and back, I guess you will always have the same travel time, depending on where you go.

I like Izu Oceanic Park. With no traffic, it takes me about 2 1/2 hours to drive back home. With traffic, it has taken me up to 6 hours to make the same drive (on a weekend). I get a lot of weekdays off, and that is certainly the best time to go in warm weather.

I just got a big plastic box for the back of my motorcycle and will be taking my first dive trip by bike this weekend as a trial run.
