Red Sea Shadow:
Several months ago I compiled an article regarding headaches and SCUBA diving. You can download it in PDF format from http://www.red-sea-shadow.com/downloads/HeadachesAndScubaDiving.pdf

Very interesting article, thanks. :)

I do get pain in my neck but generally attribute this to having had whiplash 4 times! I also get the occasional migraine but this is generally when I'm stressed, and I can always tell when I'm going to get one and wouldn't dive then.

I did have an operation on my nose in February as I had a deviated septum (the airways were almost closed over by the time they did the op!) and this was causing pain in my face/ears/eyes. I also got reverse block a couple of times whilst diving. I had a "septoplasty and volmer ethmoidal excision" (the bends in the cartilage were straightened, and some "spare" bone right at the back was removed - they don't normally remove the bone, but as I did they did it specially, to ensure the airway was nice and open).

This is all fine now and has healed well, and I have done a couple of dives since and had no problems.

However, I still get pain in my forehead so the specialist told me to go back to my doctor... I've had a lot on recently, with the op, a family bereavement, coursework, uni finals, starting a new job... So it could be stress-related. I think I'll have to go back to my doctor and see what they say! :hmmm:
