Newbie here! Just got certified in Mexico earlier this year after years of contemplation.

Goals:

• Collect full gears by end of year (can’t afford buying everything at once )
• Learn to equalize better (my last dive I got barotrauma)
• Stay warm during and in between dives (I was the only one freezing in full 3mm in Coz)
• Dive more so I can be a better diver!

I have a vacation plan to Seychelles in May. Not a diving trip but plan to incorporate some diving. Maybe 3-4 dives but anything is better than nothing. Recommendation for beginner friendly dives (minimal current, great visibility) in Seychelles is appreciated.

I also want to start diving locally (Tri-state) but still need to figure out the set up for colder water.

Welcome. Please post about your Seychelles experience when you get back. On the equalization angle, here's a recent thread discussing some alternative methods to equalize. You might also find this interesting - Sudafed prior to diving - Is it safe?
