Unless you plan to wear it out of the water as a fashion statement the D9 is simply bling.
Most useless POS Suunto ever made. It'sto be worn by snobs only.


Personally I am very fond of my D9. The gas switching capability makes a big difference if/when you get to tec. I only wear it around during the day when my Casio is busted (don't want to put scratches onthe D9).

When are you likely to Need a new battery? When you are at the least likely place to get one done.

That may well turn out to be true, but (a) the D9 battery is good for just over 500 dives; that is a career for most divers out there, (b) it gives you plenty of warning when you are running low, and (c) contrary to popular belief, anyone who is remotely mechanically inclined can replace their own battery even if they happen to be nowhere near a jeweller who can do it for them.
