Hooded vest problem and hoods in general.

I have you tried trimming the part where your chin sets, if there is too much neoprene there they rest bunches up around your neck, also less for when then hood is pulled back on boat, you may also trim your wet suit in the same area.

I decided to chuck my hood that came with my Henderson 7mm suit and went with a 3mm Aqua Lung beanie with chin strap. The hood was too constricting around the neck. Thought I might have an issue with my head being cold here in New England waters, but have since dove from early spring to late fall with no problems.
