its my right to ***** about my government, my health system, my employer and my family so why should PADI be too precious to be spared?

ive seen rebreather divers with advance trimix certs and dir divers with gui certs that i wont go snorkling with because they are drongos

sometimes its not the agency that should be diss'd... its the person

Nobody is perfect (agency wise).

All have pros/cons.

I see no problem in debating those but just going "Agency YYYY is crap" without justification is a waste of bandwidth.

PADI - If you like 'em, use 'em - if not - don't. It not a hard decision.

What thread?

I'm so out of the loop.

Don't LOOP it. Cross them in the back and it'll be more comfortable and they will have less tendency to twist on you.

Ok... just to throw a wrinkle into this whole PADI bashing party we are having here... as was in one of the other threads, there was a poll of how many people continue diving after getting their OW... it was agreed apon by most that the percentage was low. So therefore, should PADI be held to a higher standard for teaching and certifing OW if in fact, the people are going to never or seldom dive again??

why?

my mother has a drivers license but she no longer drives a vehicle... is that the RTA's fault?

people try things and then give up for health reasons, say its not for them, have kids, take up scrapbooking or find the next 'thrill' they need to mark off their list

makes gear on ebay real cheap :D

Silly Aussies sayings.... ha ha ha

And thats why they have further training to take... The basic OW cert that PADI does is for the MASS market to see who wants to actually do this as a sport. Weeds out the wannabies.
