How expensive is an O2 Service?

Aquamaniac once bubbled...
Out of pure lazyness, and a lack of resources, I decided to give my Isolator Manifold to the closest dive store I could find, and have it O2 Serviced.
5 WEEKS later, I picked it up, It cost me $132.00 !!!

Is this unreasonable? What are you paying? Was I raped?

That letter is a joke as well. 40$ per valve or valve section. That is a way to rape ya w/o the KY. It doesn't take that much time (about an hour) and the there are not that many O-rings to replace. I would look for another shop.

I am on pretty good terms with my LDS. You're right though, that stuff is mad expensive if you buy it.

Cheaper if you buy direct from the manufacturer. Price drops to about $16-18 for a 2 oz tube but a minimum order of about $50. I got 3 tubes about 4 years ago still on the first. Get several guys to go together.
